Went to a butcher shop in Austin and nobody was using the bandsaw right

Saw three guys in a row hacking through bone with a dull blade and I swear they spent more time fighting it than if they'd just stopped to file the teeth, anyone else notice shops skipping basic maintenance on their saws?

I mean, if you're in a busy shop, stopping to file the teeth every time a blade drags is gonna kill your flow and put you behind. Maybe those guys knew what they were doing and could read the bone better than anyone with a fresh edge, right? Plus, a dull blade teaches you to be more precise with your angles and pressure instead of relying on the tool to do all the work. Maybe the real skill is making a rough cut work, not hiding behind a sharp saw.

Dull blade teaches precision" is backwards. Sharp saws demand more finesse, not less.
