Cut off my sister after she used my spare key to throw a party
Last month I came home from a 3 day trip to find my apartment trashed and a $400 cleaning bill, all because my sister decided my place was the perfect venue for her book club reunion. She didnt even ask, just took the key I gave her for emergencies and had 14 strangers over. I took the key back and told her we're done until she pays up and apologizes, has anyone else had family pull something this disrespectful?

Whoa, okay, so she just helped herself to your key for a book club thing? That's not just borrowing, that's basically breaking in with extra steps. I mean, did she even offer to cover the cleaning bill before you had to ask, or did she just act like it was no big deal? Because the fact that she had 14 strangers over when you weren't there, that's a huge trust thing, and I'm kind of wondering if this is the first time she's pulled something like this or if she's got a pattern of ignoring boundaries. Idk, maybe you've got way more patience than me because I'd be livid beyond words.
