Why I moved my monthly log to the last page of my journal
I kept messing up my yearly goals because I put the monthly log right after the future log, so I would flip past it every single day and forget it existed. Last month I moved it to the very back page, and now I actually see it when I'm closing the journal at night, which is when I plan the next day anyway. I've filled out 4 weeks straight without skipping, which is a first for me since I started this in January. Does anyone else put their monthly somewhere weird on purpose, or am I the only one who has to trick my own brain?
Is it really that deep though? You moved a page in a notebook and now suddenly your whole goal system works? I've done the same trick with stuff, moved my to do list to the fridge, put my running shoes by the door, and guess what, I still skipped days. Four weeks is great and all, but that's about the length of a honeymoon phase. The real test is month three when the new spot stops being new and your brain just files it under background noise like everything else. So what's your plan for when the back page stops working too?
