Watching a girl at the Dayton airport plan her week in a $4 notebook changed my whole setup
Two years ago I was stuck on a 3 hour layover in Dayton and the girl next to me pulled out this beat up notebook and drew a simple grid for the whole month. No fancy pens, no stickers, just one page and a ruler. I had been buying washi tape and trying to make every spread look perfect, and my journal sat empty half the time because I was scared to mess it up. Now I do one ugly grid page a month and actually use the thing. Does anyone else keep it super plain, or do the decorated spreads help you stay with it?
Feel that fear of messing up a page so much. I spent way too long on pretty spreads and then skipped days because I didn't want to ruin them, and the notebook just sat there judging me. Plain grids and a cheap pen got me using it daily again.
