Just realized my daily log was a mess because of one note a friend left in my March spread
A friend flipped through my journal in March and pointed at my daily log, saying "I can't tell what's a task and what's just a thought." I had been mixing grocery lists, work tasks, and random notes in the same bullet style with no symbols at all, so after 7 months of that I finally started using dashes for tasks and circles for events. Now my weekly review takes 10 minutes instead of an hour, but I still wonder if I should keep a separate collection for work stuff or just keep it all in one place, how do you all split yours up?
Kept everything in one journal for years and it got messy for the same reason. What worked for me was one notebook but two sections, daily stuff up front and work in the back pages, so I could still flip to one book but the two never mixed. Tried separate journals once and hated it because I always had the wrong one with me. Give the back section thing a shot for a couple weeks and see if your review time drops even more.
