DAE know that a dot grid notebook was invented for a reason most of us never use?
I was reading an old blog post last week about the history of bullet journaling and found out that the dot grid layout was actually picked because dots disappear when you scan or copy a page, unlike lines. That shocked me, since I mostly chose dot grid just because it looked clean. The blogger said Ryder Carroll tested graph paper and lined paper first at his kitchen table in 2013 but the dots won out for that copy machine reason. Now I wonder how many of you picked dot grid for the looks versus actually needing the dots to vanish. Does anyone here still use plain lined notebooks on purpose, and if so why?
