TIL that my $40 grocery week in June beat every coupon app I tried all spring
I wrote down every receipt for seven days in June and spent $40.12 total on food, mostly dry beans, eggs, and a $6 bag of chicken leg quarters from the Save A Lot on Fulton, and that beat the $71 average I'd been running with three coupon apps all spring, so now I'm wondering if anyone else tracks receipts by hand instead of using apps?
So you're telling me eating beans and eggs every day for a week is the real trick here, not the receipt tracking or ditching the apps? Sounds less like a coupon app problem and more like you just ate like a broke college kid for seven days straight. Did you actually enjoy any of those meals, or was this more of a survival experiment?
