Paid $120 for a budgeting app that just yells at me, went back to paper

I thought dropping cash on a fancy app would finally fix my overspending, but it turned out to be a guilt machine. Every time I bought coffee it sent a red alert notification like I committed a crime. After 3 weeks I ignored it completely and went back to writing numbers in a notebook. The app's only real win was showing me I spend $240 a month on takeout, which hurt but helped. My paper system cost $1.50 and does the same job without the drama. Anyone else ditch a paid tool for the cheap route and feel better about it?
