Rant: I slept in the Seattle airport to dodge a $180 hotel and learned the good spots are all past security
Missed my connection last month and refused to pay $180 for 6 hours of sleep, so I camped near gate B7 instead. Turns out the pre-security side has hard benches and loud cleaning crews all night, but past security there are quiet corners with outlets and nobody bugs you. Anyone got a specific terminal or gate that actually works for this?
The C gates at Sea-Tac are my go to now. I used to camp out near baggage claim thinking it was safer since I could keep an eye on my stuff, but I got woken up like 4 times by cleaning carts and a guy vacuuming at 2am. Then a buddy told me to just stay past security after my flight landed and it was a whole different world. Found a row of seats near gate C11 with outlets right there and nobody said a word to me until 6am. So yeah, I was wrong about pre security being the move, it's honestly way worse.
