Pro tip: I found out hostel lockers in Lisbon cost 2 euros a night and that flipped how I pack
I was booking a place in Lisbon for 9 nights and the front desk guy mentioned lockers run 2 euros per night if you want one. I always figured hostels just had free storage, so I used to haul around this heavy cable lock and a full backpack everywhere I went. Now I just bring one small bag and pay the few euros, way less hassle than dragging everything on the tram. Did anyone else not know this was a thing, or is it just me?

Wait, 2 euros a night for 9 nights is 18 euros just to store a bag you already carried there for free on your back. The whole point of a hostel is that you get a locker with your bed, so if they are charging extra that sounds like a place cutting corners. I would rather keep my stuff with me than pay rent on a metal box.
