Walked into an Aldi 40 miles from home and saw a totally different selection than my local one

I was visiting a friend last weekend in a town about 40 miles away and popped into their Aldi for a few things. The meat prices on chicken thighs were $1.69 a pound while mine are usually $2.29. They had fresh whole trout for under $4 too, something I NEVER see at my store. The produce section also had way more variety, like bags of sweet potatoes for 99 cents. It made me wonder if different Aldi locations get different deals based on the neighborhood or just random delivery schedules. Has anyone else noticed big price differences between stores that are close together?

Been noticing this kind of thing everywhere lately. Like how the same coffee chain near the highway will charge a dollar more than the one downtown. Everything's getting split up into little zones, each with its own rules.

And yeah I totally relate to this because I'm that person who drives an extra 15 minutes just to save 30 cents on eggs. Like I'll spend $3 in gas to save $1 on chicken thighs and then pat myself on the back like I'm some kind of financial genius. My husband thinks I'm insane but I swear the Aldi on the other side of town has better random stuff like their random cheese section is twice as big. It's probably just me being a weirdo who overanalyzes grocery store layouts though.
