Changed my mind on frozen veggies after my grocery total hit $47 for the first time in months
I always thought fresh was worth the extra cost until I added up a typical run and saw frozen broccoli and spinach ringing up at less than half the price per pound at my Food Lion. Anyone else made the swap and found a brand that does not turn to mush in a stir fry?
Frozen spinach works fine in soup but "less than half the price per pound" only holds up if you actually eat all of it, and half the bags I buy end up as freezer burn six months later. Fresh broccoli also holds up way better in a stir fry, the frozen stuff always goes soft no matter the brand.
