Vent: my 4 inch chisel vs my 6 inch chisel, I chose wrong on a job in Denver

Had a brick arch repair this past Tuesday and the outside corner kept flaking off. I grabbed my 6 inch chisel first because it felt more solid, but the mortar joints were so tight it kept jamming sideways. Switched to the 4 inch after 20 minutes of fighting it, and that thing worked like a charm, clean cuts every time. Now I'm wondering if I should just carry two sizes on every job or if the 6 inch is even worth dragging around. Anyone else run into this with tight joints, or am I overthinking the tool size thing?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I did almost the exact same thing on a fireplace last month, grabbed the bigger chisel out of habit and spent an hour cussing at it before I switched down. Now I just keep both in the pouch and grab the little one first if the joints even look tight, saved me so much time.
