Shoutout to hitting 4,800 bricks in one day after the rain delay in Toledo
Got rained out Tuesday and Wednesday on the warehouse job off Reynolds Road, so we had two days of wall stacked up waiting on us. Wound up laying 4,800 units in one shift with my guy Derrick, which I never would've guessed we had in us at this point in the summer. Now my lower back is filing a formal complaint and I can barely get out of the truck. What's the most bricks you've ever laid in a single day, and was it worth what it did to your body after?
Sounds like a normal Tuesday to me, honestly. Guys throw around these big numbers all the time but 4,800 in a single shift with just two of you works out to a pace that seems tough to keep up for eight hours straight unless the wall layout was wide open with no corners or cuts to slow you down. My back hurts just hearing about it, but a lot of that soreness comes from going from a couple easy rain days back into full speed, not from the number itself. Drink some water, stretch it out, and you'll be fine by the weekend.
