TIL the guy running the register at a hardware store in Boise changed how I argue on here
I was in there 3 weeks ago buying a $4 pack of screws and mouthing off about some guy online who was wrong about a thing I know cold. The cashier, probably 60, rang me up and said "I used to win every argument and lose every friend." Then he told me he started asking people "what would change your mind" before he bothered replying to them. I tried it twice since and both times the person just admitted they had not thought about it that hard. Does that line work on anybody, or do people just get mad when you ask it?
