Tried a new way to root my pothos cuttings and it worked way faster

I usually just put them in water, but last week I tried dipping the ends in honey instead of rooting powder. After 5 days, I saw tiny white roots starting, which normally takes over two weeks for me. I used raw honey from a local farm in Springfield. The cuttings are in a clear jar by my east window. I think the honey might have kept bad stuff from growing while helping the roots. Has anyone else tried using kitchen stuff instead of store bought plant helpers?

Honey, huh? Guess my pothos are getting the bougie spa treatment now. Next you'll tell me you're using fancy olive oil for leaf shine.

Tried the olive oil thing once on a rubber plant. Big mistake. Leaves got super sticky, then dusty, and it blocked the pores. Now I just wipe mine down with a damp microfiber cloth. Works way better and doesn't attract every bit of dirt in the room.

Yeah olive oil was a total mess for me too.
