Warning: my book club picked a 900 page novel and only 2 of us finished it
We voted on it back in April, 11 of us said yes to the big one, and then our meetup in Rochester turned into 9 people who read the summary on their phones. The two of us who actually finished got about 15 minutes of real talk while everyone else argued about the movie casting. Now half the group wants to switch to short books only and the other half says that kills the whole point. How do you all handle it when most of the club shows up unread, do you just pick shorter books from now on?
