Spent 5 hours fighting one pick in my book club because nobody wrote down page numbers
Our club picked a 480 page book for October and half the group kept saying they 'loved that part near the beginning' with no page or chapter. We burned almost two hours at Diane's house in Salem just hunting for one scene about the lighthouse. Now I hand out cheap sticky flags and a one page sheet with page numbers for every quote we plan to bring up. Does your group do anything to keep things moving when people get vague about where a scene is?
This is just how people are with everything now, my aunt does the same thing with recipes, "that one casserole from the 90s" and we spend an hour digging through her binder. Sticky flags are smart though, we just started texting page numbers in the group chat before meetings so there's a record.
