Just crossed 500 plays on my daily puzzle board and it felt weird
I keep a little scorecard next to my game shelf and last night I added my 500th play of the same roll and write game. Started counting back in March just to see how often I actually got it to the table. Turns out I play it almost every single day, sometimes twice if I lose the first round. It made me realize I might be more of a creature of habit than I thought. Has anyone else hit a big number on one specific game and had to step back and question it?

That number snuck up on me with a roll and write too, actually. Hit 400 plays on one little dice game before I even noticed, because it was just sitting there on the coffee table and I'd grab it while waiting for water to boil or whatever. Once I saw the tally, I had to admit it wasn't really about winning anymore, it was more like a tiny ritual that kept my hands busy. Didn't step back from it though, just started mixing in a second game on weekends so it didn't feel so obsessive. Honestly, if it brings you a few quiet minutes and doesn't hurt anything, I say lean into it.
