An old snapshot reminded me of our first board game gathering.

We played on a fold-out table with borrowed games. Today, we have a permanent setup and our own collection. It's good to see the group still going strong.

See that pattern with lots of hobbies and groups. They begin as a temporary thing using whatever is around. If people keep showing up, it slowly becomes a fixed part of life. You get your own equipment and a designated spot without even meaning to. It's the unplanned shift from casual to solid that I find interesting. Your board game evolution shows how those small starts can quietly build into something lasting.

Watch it happen with my book club too.

This pattern is too real for my hobby. Started with a couple of board games, now my closet is bursting with expansions I never play. Somehow I went from casual player to board game hoarder without noticing.

Actually some groups work best staying loose with no fixed spot.
