Stopped mid-scroll watching a video about a tiny library in my own town
Last week I was scrolling through local history videos and found one about the old train depot library in my town of Millbrook. I've driven past that building for 15 years and never gave it a second look. The video showed how the ceiling was hand-painted by a local artist in the 1920s who traded the work for a train pass. I actually went down there yesterday and stared at those faded paintings for 20 minutes. It's wild how much history sits right under your nose if you just stop and look. Has anyone else found something ordinary in their own town that had a backstory worth knowing?

Wait hold on, he painted the whole ceiling just for a train pass? That's insane. I can't believe nobody talks about that.

Huh, I mean it's cool and all but people act like he cured cancer or something. Is it really that big of a deal?
