Showerthought: The '5 Second Rule' video that made me rethink my whole morning routine
I was scrolling past a random video of a guy demonstrating the 5 second rule for decision making, and it stopped me cold. He said if you have a gut feeling to do something, you have exactly 5 seconds to act before your brain talks you out of it. I tried it last Tuesday when I saw a sign for a free coding workshop at the library, and I signed up before I could overthink it. Now I'm 3 sessions in and actually building a simple website. The weird part is I've used it twice more since then, once to call an old friend and once to finally fix my leaky faucet. Has anyone else tried this rule and had it actually work?
