PSA: I spent 6 hours chasing a 'broken' dryer when the real fix was a $9 part
I swapped the thermal fuse, the heating coil, and even the control board on my Kenmore before my neighbor pointed at the vent hose packed with 4 years of lint. The whole mess would've taken 20 minutes if I'd just checked airflow first instead of throwing money at parts. Anyone else ever fix the wrong thing for half a day?
Man, I heard a repair guy on a podcast say like 80 percent of dryer problems are just airflow. He said people buy new machines when all they needed was to pull out a wad of lint the size of a hamster. Wild how we always jump to the expensive stuff first.
