Tried watching Succession one ep a night then tried three in a row, big difference
I started Succession doing one episode per night and it felt slow, like I was missing half the jokes. Then one rainy Sunday in March I banged out three episodes back to back and the whole thing clicked, the boardroom stuff in season 1 episode 6 hit way harder when the previous episode was still fresh. Turns out these shows are written for the binge, not for a nightly drip. Anyone got a show that actually works better spaced out?
You say the boardroom stuff "hit way harder when the previous episode was still fresh" but that's kinda the problem. If a plot point only lands because you watched four hours of setup in one sitting, that's a crutch, not good writing. Spacing it out makes you actually remember the characters and catch stuff you'd blow past while zoning out on hour three.
