My sister asked if I'd move back to Cleveland for $18k less, and now I can't sleep
My sister called me 4 days ago and asked if I'd leave my $71k job in Charlotte to move back to Cleveland for $53k so I could help with our dad, and I've been going back and forth ever since. Half of me says money isn't everything and family time is short, but the other half says I'd be setting myself back 3 years just to be miserable in the snow. Would you take the pay cut for family, or is that just guilt talking?
That's a big drop and Cleveland winters are no joke. But is your dad's situation temporary or is this a long haul thing? If it's short term you might make it work, but 18k is a real hit you'll feel every month.
