Blue ink pen changed how I outline chapters

Swapped my black pen for a blue one while editing my novel draft in Portland. The color difference made my revision notes pop off the page, caught three plot holes I'd missed over 12 rewrites. Anyone else tried switching tools mid-project and seen a shift in how their brain processes the text?

Caught three plot holes I'd missed over 12 rewrites" feels like a stretch. A blue pen didn't find those holes, you did. The color just made you look harder. I've switched from pencil to pen to highlighter and it's the same story every time, the tool change only works because you're suddenly paying attention. Next week you'll go back to black and find the same amount of issues, you just won't notice the difference.
