Hit 5,000 haircuts on my clippers this week and the counter got me thinking
That number snuck up on me, feels like just yesterday I was fumbling through my first fade on a buddy's head in my garage. Anybody else keep track of their totals, or am I just weird about numbers?

My grandpa gave me his old Oster clippers when I started barber school and they had a little counter on them too. I kept that thing running for years mostly out of habit, watching the numbers roll over felt like a weird little scoreboard for all the heads I'd seen. Still have the clippers on a shelf, dead as a doornail but I can't bring myself to toss them.
