Bought a $60 clipper blade sharpening kit and it was total garbage
Spent an hour messing with that kit from Amazon and it just made my blades duller lol. Anyone else found a solid way to sharpen blades that actually works?

My first clipper sharpening kit ended up in the trash after I tried it on my dog's shears and they started pulling hair like crazy (my poor schnauzer still gives me the side-eye for that). I finally gave up and just started sending my blades out to a guy I found on Etsy who does it for like $8 each, which honestly beats the $60 I spent on that useless kit. Plus, I'm pretty sure I have a black belt in making things worse when I try to fix stuff myself, so outsourcing is just smarter at this point.

Wait, @rose_reed, you seriously paid $60 for a sharpening kit that couldn't even handle dog shears?

$60 for a sharpening kit that can't even handle dog shears is a proper gut punch. Learned that lesson the hard way myself, cheaper to just pay someone who knows what they're doing.
