Vent: That tiny $3 check I deposit every year finally made me switch my whole setup
So for like 6 years I had a checking account at a credit union in Boise and there was this $3 dividend check they mailed me each January, and I kid you not, I drove to the branch to deposit it every time because mobile deposit had a $5 minimum. Finally I added it up and realized I was burning about 40 minutes and a gallon of gas to move three bucks. Opened a no minimum account online after that and now I just snap a pic of any check no matter how small. Has anyone else had a bank rule like that where the fine print made you do something dumb for years without noticing?
