Update: My wife said my fire pit area looked like a construction site

She pointed out that the leftover gravel and pallets I had stacked nearby made our whole patio feel messy, even though the pit itself was done. I moved all the extra materials to the side of the shed and put down a couple of those cheap outdoor rugs from Target. Honestly, it looks a hundred times better now, like an actual place to sit. Anyone have a good idea for some simple, cheap seating around a fire pit that isn't just folding chairs?

Wait, moving everything to the side of the shed just hides the mess. Isn't that just putting off the problem? Those Target rugs are going to get gross with ash and weather in like a month. And a "real place to sit" sounds nice, but now you've spent money on a temporary rug fix instead of just dealing with the leftover materials for good. Why not just return the extra gravel or actually use the pallets for something instead of shuffling them around?

Honestly though, who cares if it gets messy? Angela_harris has a point but it's just a backyard, not a museum.
