Gravel base vs. concrete pads for a shed, which side are you on?

I spent last spring putting up a 10x12 shed in my yard outside Columbus and went back and forth on the foundation. I poured three 4-inch concrete pads at $180 in materials, but my neighbor did the same size shed with just 6 inches of packed gravel and some landscape timbers. The gravel took me two afternoons to level and compact, way easier than mixing bags, but I worry about frost heave shifting things over the next few winters. Has anyone had a gravel base sink or settle after a couple of seasons, or am I overthinking this?
