My uncle's $20 Harbor Freight torque stick was dead on

My uncle swore by this cheap torque stick for lug nuts on his F-250, said the fancy Snap-On stuff was a waste. I borrowed it last week for a brake job in Tucson and checked with my digital torque wrench after, it was within 2 ft-lbs. He's been doing fleet work for 30 years so I figured he knew something, but I still doubted it. Anyone else trust the budget tools over the expensive ones for simple stuff like this?
