I finally got burned by cheap O2 sensors, $38 each cost me a weekend

Picked up two budget O2 sensors for my 2011 Silverado off Amazon, $38 each. Installed them Saturday, by Sunday the CEL was back on with the SAME code. Turns out they were reading slow and the fuel trims went crazy. Had to buy the AC Delco ones for $78 each from the dealer and redo the whole job. Total waste of 6 hours and $76. Anyone else had cheap sensors send you chasing ghosts?

Cheap O2 sensors are like cheap sunglasses. They look fine until the sun hits them and you realize you are squinting through plastic. Now you got the fun game of wondering if the new ones are actually good or if the PCM is just holding a grudge from the last batch. $76 and a weekend is the tuition fee for learning that lesson once.
