Gave up on cold emailing Austin founders and started showing up at coffee shops on Congress
Honestly, I spent 6 months blasting cold emails to every startup on the Austin tech scene and got 3 replies total, 2 of which were auto-responses. Now I just post up at a coffee shop on Congress Ave around 9am and end up talking to 4 or 5 founders a week just by sitting there with my laptop open. Ngl the in-person thing beats any sales tool I ever paid for. Has anyone else ditched the digital grind and gone back to just being around where people actually work?
