Just realized my best shot of M42 came from my light polluted driveway, not the desert
Spent last Saturday at a dark sky site near Mount Pinos and my Orion Nebula shots were soft and hazy thanks to dew on the lens. Two nights later I tried from my driveway in Bakersfield with a cheap dew heater strapped on and pulled 40 keepers out of 60 frames. Anyone else getting better results from home once you fix one dumb thing like dew?
Man, that dew struggle is so real, been there way too many times. Funny how fixing one small thing like that can flip everything and suddenly your driveway beats the fancy dark site.
