Finally got my dishwasher to drain after 5 late nights

My dishwasher kept leaving a puddle every cycle, and I tried cleaner, checking the filter, even leveling the feet. After watching a few videos, I pulled the drain hose off the garbage disposal inlet and found a chunk of something stuck right there in the 45 degree adapter. Cleared it out with a wire hanger, ran a hot wash, and it drained bone dry. Has anyone else fixed a weird appliance issue with a part that seemed totally obvious after the fact?

That’s how it ALWAYS goes though, right? We spend hours on the fancy stuff, the cleaner and the leveling, and it turns out the whole problem was just a little chunk of gunk sitting in a cheap plastic elbow. I fixed a washing machine once that was throwing an error code, took the whole back panel off, and it was just a sock wrapped around the pump impeller. It’s like the universe wants to remind us that most of life’s big headaches are just small, dumb things hiding in plain sight. You feel like a genius and an idiot at the exact same moment.
