Got dragged to a talk in Mesa and now I side-eye every museum diorama
Two years ago my sister made me go to a free lecture at the Arizona Museum of Natural History in Mesa, and a grad student spent an hour explaining how a lot of old dig reports from the 1930s quietly left out the bone tools. She pulled up the actual field notes next to the published version and the difference was wild. Now I can't walk past a display without wondering what got cut to make the story cleaner. Does anyone know if there's a list somewhere of digs that got re-checked like that?
