Stop treating the gauges like the whole story. They only show you one part of what's happening. The temp check tells you what the system is actually doing, not just what the pressures say it should be doing. I had a similar thing with a rack system where pressures looked perfect for hours, but the oil was cooked and the compressor was on its way out. Now I check superheat and subcooling on every single call, even the easy ones. It takes two extra minutes and saves you from coming back twice.
