Dropped a wrench into a customer's cake batter yesterday
I was swapping a motor on a mixer in a bakery off Route 9 when the 10mm slipped right into a 20-gallon bowl of vanilla batter. The baker just stared at me, said 'well, that's a new flavor,' and we fished it out with a whisk, anyone else had a tool take a dip in something weird?

The 10mm is like the universal sacrifice tool, I swear. I dropped a socket into a deep fryer once, but that was a clean waste of oil compared to a batter situation. Though I gotta say, fishing it out with a whisk probably left some metal shavings or grease film in there. You really ought to have told them to toss that batch, even if the baker laughed it off. Health code aside, a tiny bit of tool grime can ruin a whole cake. Hope you offered to comp them a new motor install or something after that one.
