Finally wrote the letter to my old landlord in Tulsa, 3 years and 47 drafts later

I kept writing and deleting apologies to Mrs. Alvarez for leaving her rental on 12th Street a mess when I moved out in 2020, and I finally finished one I wouldn't send. The thing people get wrong is thinking unsent letters are about the other person. They're not. I figured that out after draft 47, when I stopped trying to explain myself and just wrote what I did. Who else has a letter sitting in their notes app they'll never send?
