The frozen pipe at my rental property taught me a lesson about old insulation
Last Tuesday in Spokane, the temp dropped to 18 and a pipe in the back unit burst while I was out of town. My tenant sent a video of water running down the wall, and I drove back 4 hours to find the whole basement soaked. Has anyone else had to deal with surprise infrastructure failures that make you feel guilty about not prepping earlier?

Maintenance always gets put off until the exact moment it becomes an emergency, that's just how it goes.
