My neighbor in Tampa said rising sea levels are just a cycle and I can't stop replaying it
We were standing in his driveway last Tuesday watching the water creep up past the storm drain at the end of our street, something that now happens even on a normal high tide. Part of me wants to show him the tide gauge data from St. Pete going back 50 years, but another part thinks you can't argue someone out of a story that keeps their house feeling safe. How do you even talk to people who see the same flooded street you do but come away with a totally different reason for it?
