Rant: my buddy swore I had to watch Frieren subbed, I caved and now I can't go back to dubs

So my friend Mike kept bugging me for like 3 weeks to watch Frieren subbed instead of dubbed. I finally gave in on a Sunday night with a frozen pizza and binged 8 episodes. Honestly the voice acting hit way harder and I got used to reading the subs by episode 3. Now I tried putting on a dub for another show and it felt wrong in my brain. Anyone else get weirdly locked into one format and can't switch back?
