My kid's school app sent a 'behavior alert' because he bought a soda
Last Thursday, the lunch money app our district uses pinged me with a red flag warning. It said 'unusual purchase pattern' because my son spent $2.50 on a drink from the vending machine after eating his packed lunch. I mean, it's a machine in the hallway, not a bar. Now I'm worried this note is stuck in some file that makes him look bad. Has anyone else gotten these weird automated judgments from school software?

Ugh, I just called the office like @lindag33 said and they cleared it.

Our district software once flagged my daughter for the high crime of buying two milks.

Oh man, I've been there! It's so frustrating when the system flags something totally normal. Best thing is to just call the school office directly, don't even bother with the automated stuff. They can usually override it in like two minutes if you explain what happened. My kid got flagged for "excessive" milk purchases too, turns out their friend forgot their lunch money and they were just sharing. The admin lady was super nice about it once I actually talked to a human. Next time just skip the app and go straight to calling, saves so much headache.
