Vent: learned the hard way in Tucson to test the panel battery BEFORE mounting it on the wall

Last Tuesday I had a choice between bench testing a 7Ah battery first or saving 10 minutes and screwing the panel up right away, and of course the bad cell showed up during the customer walkthrough, so just plug it in and cycle it on the bench first, or has anyone found a faster way to catch a dead cell before it's on the wall?
