Question about a bad sensor placement in a new build
I put a motion sensor facing a south window in a Phoenix house, and the afternoon sun kept setting it off. I moved it to a corner and angled it down, which fixed it for good. Anyone else run into problems with sun glare on sensors?

My first sensor install faced a west window and I spent a week thinking my house was haunted, lmao.

Relate to that so hard. Sun glare can really mess with those sensors. Had a similar freak out with my own setup.

Remember my buddy who swore his new apartment had a ghost? Turns out his motion sensor was pointed right at a glass coffee table. The afternoon sun would hit it just right and bounce a hot spot across the room, setting the thing off like clockwork. He only figured it out because he saw the reflection move one day. Had to put a little tablecloth down as a fix. Makes you wonder how many "haunted" houses are just bad sensor spots, right?
