My cousin works at a recruiting startup in Austin, and she told me their AI screener catches 40% more qualified candidates than the old keyword filter did. I always figured AI in HR was just hype, but she showed me a real example where it flagged a guy with no degree but insane project history. It hit different because we just lost a good hire at my firm over resume gatekeeping. Has anyone else seen AI actually change a hiring process in a way that surprised them?
