Spent $150 on an AI scheduling tool that booked me into a meeting with myself
I needed help managing my calendar. Client calls, team check-ins, personal stuff. Bought this AI assistant thing for $150 a month. First week it worked great. Then it scheduled a 1-on-1 with... me. No joke. Showed up at a coffee shop on my day off. Just sat there. Waited for me to show up. Felt like a total idiot. I canceled the subscription right after. Anyone else have an AI just fail this bad?
$150 a month and it couldn't even figure out there's only one of you. That's not AI, that's expensive stupidity. At least you got a nice coffee out of it, even if you had to drink it alone staring at an empty chair. I bet the AI felt real awkward when nobody showed up to that meeting. Guess you learned the hard way that robots can't tell the difference between a calendar entry and a real person.
@mark436 that's a good point about the empty chair, but what nobody's mentioned is the AI probably learned that from you. You must've put "meeting with self" or something similar in your calendar before, and the bot just ran with it like it was a real person.
