My AI art filter turned a client's face into a potato, client loved it

Last Tuesday in Portland, I was demoing a new generative style transfer for a real estate agent and the model glitched on her listing photo, turning her face into a lumpy brown blob. Instead of panicking, I leaned in and said, 'this is the avant-garde version,' and she actually laughed, then asked me to make the whole ad campaign look like that. She ended up paying $300 extra for the 'texture' effect, but it made me wonder, is this a happy accident or are we all just too afraid to hit undo when AI does something wild? Anyone else had a moment where a bug became the feature?

Three years ago I would've deleted that file on the spot, scared a client would see it as broken. Now I get it, sometimes the weird output is exactly what makes it memorable. That potato face probably got more laughs than any perfect render ever would.
