Tbh, my inflatable pad decided to deflate at midnight on a rocky slope.

Been camping a bunch and tried the rock thing myself. It's not about just lying on any old stones, that's a sure way to wake up hurting. You gotta find flat spots or use a thin pad to spread out the pressure. I learned the hard way after a night on river rocks, my back was killing me for a week. Toughness comes from getting used to it slowly, not jumping in like Mike did. Start with softer ground and work your way up, or you'll just wreck your back.

PSA: I used to dismiss listening for bearing noise until it diagnosed a failing hoist motor.

Reminds me of how I learned to listen for odd noises in my car. A faint squeal once warned me about a loose belt before it broke. @karen361, your story shows how small cues can prevent big issues.

Our shop switched to all flux-core for outdoor work, and I'm not on board

Yeah @wood.karen, cutting back regularly beats a single big save any day.

My bakery idea died in city hall paperwork.

But does it really work all the time? I mean, I've seen plenty of sketchy spots pass inspection just because they know how to play the game. My buddy got food poisoning from a place with an A rating last month. Idk, maybe the system is good in theory but the execution is pretty spotty.

Shoutout to the code that sorted my home repair chaos

Nice! I've been down that road before where you overthink a simple task and then the csv module just comes in like a hero. It's one of those boring tools that never gets cool points but saves your butt every time. I love when you find the simple fix after almost building something way too complicated. Feels good to just get it done and move on.
